About the studio

Play2Win Studios is a small, independent game studio. We make games that are easy to start, hard to master, and fair to the people who play them.

Why "Play2Win"

Plenty of games are built so that spending money is the fastest way to the top. We think that takes the fun out of winning. Our name is the rule we build by: in a Play2Win game, playing is how you win.

That does not mean our games cost nothing to make or run. It means anything we sell is extra, like cosmetic looks or supporting the game, and never a shortcut past the people who put the time in.

Where we started

Our first game, Lock and Lay, came out of the reptile hobby. We wanted a breeding game that got the genetics right, the kind of game where a keeper would nod at the morph names and a newcomer could still learn as they went. It runs in a browser, it is free, and every player shares one world.

Lock and Lay keeps growing with regular updates, and the people playing it shape a lot of what we add.

What we believe

  1. Playing is how you win

Skill, patience and good decisions decide who comes out ahead. Paid extras never skip the line.

  2. Get the details right

We study the real thing before we build the game version of it, and we tell you where we simplified.

  3. Ship often and listen

Small updates, all the time. Players tell us what is broken and what is missing, and we fix it.

  4. Anyone can play

Browser first, phone friendly, no download, no ads.
